The Professionals are Talking !

Just last week we added a new driver to our insurance policy and the rate per year jumped $1700.  Today, I am shopping online for a better price and once again I am reminded we have no secrets.  As soon as I entered my name and address, every vehicle we own populated.  They, the quoting company knew what we had, what the deductibles were, if we had towing, everything!  All this has been updated since we changed our policies a week ago.  WHY?  Because there is a data base where these companies report information so the other companies know what you have, what you do and if you drive safely.  That is one of the main purposes of VOICE OF THE TRADESMEN. If you are Licensed and insured, you have access to the DISCOVERY area.  It’s a data base for the contractor.  Plumbing, Electrical, Builder, Mason, Tile Setter, it doesn’t matter.  If your dealing with the public, you need to be talking.  You need to be making your fellow tradesmen aware of who is a good risk and who is not.

Why are insurance certificates/ License / DBA necessary?

I am sure this is a question that runs across the minds of potential members.  Well, if your a W-2  guy, a man on the payroll, ( Journeyman ), you don’t need any paperwork, but if your not, you do. “Why the paperwork?”  It’s for the protection of the membership!  Quite honestly, it’s a hassle for us to keep up with all the paperwork, but if we don’t, this site will be like all the others who are supposedly for the professional, ( the guy making a living in the trades ) but allow everyone to join.  The trades are a special group who deserve to be set apart.  If your licensed, you will have opportunity to rate the consumer so every contractor, Electrical, Plumbing, Building, Masonry and all the rest can have access to private information that will tell them the last guy didn’t  get paid by John Doe.  Or John was great to work for.  As a professional group, we are standing alone far too often, that needs to change !  If you are a sub contractor, we want the generals to know you are legal and up to date before they hire you!  It’s simply  protection for everyone.

Together… We Are Strong!

Are you interested in belonging to an exclusive group that is interactive between the people who belong to it? Think about the last time you applied for life, health or business insurance. Without a doubt you were investigated by the insurance company before they offered a policy to you. How about getting a bank loan.  Do they trust your willingness to pay them back or do they check up on your credit history.  It’s a protection for the insurer and the banker to know who you are. That same protection idea for the building professional who is licensed, is part of what we offer on this site through interactive communication.
